Fund Raisers
Troop 74 provides the opportunity for Scouts to participate in several fund raisers throughout the year to help them build up their Scout Accounts and to Support the Troop.
Troop fund raisers include Popcorn Sales, Giant Gift Card Sales, Christmas Wreath Sales, Candle Sales, Christmas Tree Sales, etc.
Troop Policy is that every scout pays a fund raiser support fee of $50/year to the Troop, which is assessed to the Scout's Account in January each year.
Profits from Popcorn Sales, Christmas Wreath Sales, Candle Sales, Christmas Tree Sales, etc. are divided 50%/50% with half of the profits going directly into to the Scout’s Account and the other half going into the Troop Account to support our operations.
Giant Gift Cards, which is an ongoing fund-raiser, is different in that 5% of the amount of Gift Cards sold goes directly into the Scout Account, nothing is taken out for the Troop.
